Ingredients

  • 400 g linguine pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 120 ml heavy cream
  • 60 g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 20 g fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.25 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • 120 ml reserved pasta water

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the linguine pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 120 ml of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.

Step 2

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Add the lemon zest and juice to the skillet, stirring to combine with the garlic.

Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream. Stir continuously until the cream is well incorporated, about 2-3 minutes.
