Ingredients

  • 500 grams All-purpose flour
  • 350 milliliters Warm water
  • 7 grams Active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 80 milliliters Olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh rosemary (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon Flaky sea salt

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, mix warm water, active dry yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and half of the olive oil.

Step 3

Mix with a wooden spoon or your hands until the dough comes together, then transfer it to a floured surface.

Step 4

Knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. If the dough is too sticky, add a small amount of flour as needed.

Step 5

Place the dough into a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a damp kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.

Step 6

Generously oil a 9x13 inch (23x33 cm) baking sheet with some of the remaining olive oil.

Step 7

Transfer the dough to the oiled baking sheet, gently stretching it out to fit the pan. Cover it again and let it rise for another 30 minutes.

Step 8

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

Step 9

Using your fingers, dimple the surface of the dough by pressing down gently to create deep impressions.

Step 10

Drizzle the remaining olive oil over the surface of the dough, then sprinkle it with fresh rosemary and flaky sea salt.

Step 11

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy on the edges.

Step 12

Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
