Ingredients

  • 6 whole Fresh lemons
  • 100 grams Granulated sugar
  • 1 liter Water
  • 15 leaves Fresh mint leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Orange blossom water
  • 2 cups Ice cubes

Directions

Step 1

Wash the lemons thoroughly under running water to remove any wax or dirt.

Step 2

Cut 4 lemons in half and squeeze out the juice using a citrus juicer. Remove any seeds from the juice. You should have around 1 cup (240 ml) of fresh lemon juice.

Step 3

Thinly slice the remaining 2 lemons into rounds and set them aside. These will be used for garnishing.

Step 4

In a medium pitcher, combine the lemon juice, granulated sugar, and water. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved.

Step 5

Add the fresh mint leaves and muddle them gently with the back of a spoon or a muddler to release their essential oils. Be careful not to over-muddle as this may make the lemonade slightly bitter.

Step 6

Stir in the orange blossom water for a floral aroma that complements the lemonade.

Step 7

Add ice cubes to the pitcher and stir to chill the lemonade. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary by adding more sugar.

Step 8

Pour the lemonade into serving glasses, ensuring each glass gets some mint leaves and a lemon slice as garnish. Serve immediately for maximum freshness.
