Ingredients

  • 3 pieces large flour tortillas
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 0.5 cups sour cream
  • 1 cups refried beans
  • 1 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cups shredded lettuce
  • 0.5 cups diced tomatoes
  • 0.25 cups sliced black olives
  • 0.25 cups diced green onions
  • 1 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • 1 tablespoons olive oil

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning. Stir until smooth and well combined. Set aside.

Step 2

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Lightly brush olive oil on each tortilla and lightly toast them one at a time in the skillet until golden brown on both sides. This should take about 1-2 minutes per tortilla. Set them aside to cool.

Step 3

Place one tortilla on a serving plate or board as the base layer.

Step 4

Spread half of the refried beans evenly onto the tortilla.

Step 5

Spread a layer of the cream cheese mixture on top of the beans.

Step 6

Sprinkle shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and a small portion of shredded cheddar cheese over the cream cheese mixture.

Step 7

Add a second tortilla on top and gently press down to set the layers.

Step 8

Repeat the layering steps: spread the remaining refried beans, then a layer of cream cheese mixture, followed by lettuce, tomatoes, and more shredded cheddar cheese.

Step 9

Add the final tortilla on top and spread the remaining cream cheese mixture as the top layer to cover it completely.

Step 10

Sprinkle the top layer with shredded cheddar cheese, sliced black olives, diced green onions, and a bit more diced tomatoes for garnish.

Step 11

Chill in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to set the layers before cutting. Use a sharp knife to slice into wedges or squares for serving.

Step 12

Serve immediately or store in the fridge until ready to enjoy.
