  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 medium, diced Yellow onion
  • 3 cloves, minced Garlic
  • 2 cups Marinara sauce
  • 1 cup Ricotta cheese
  • 1.5 cups, shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cups, grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 sheets, broken into bite-size pieces Lasagna noodles
  • 4 cups Water
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp, chopped Fresh parsley

Directions

Step 1

In a large pot or deep skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the diced onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 3

Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces with a spoon. Drain any excess grease.

Step 4

Season the beef mixture with salt and black pepper. Stir in the marinara sauce, then reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes.

In a separate pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the broken lasagna noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
