Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted butter
  • 2 cups Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup Brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 cup Cocoa powder (unsweetened)
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 4 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it lightly.

Step 2

In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Remove it from the heat as soon as it is fully melted.

Step 3

Stir the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cocoa powder into the melted butter until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

Step 4

Let the mixture cool slightly, then add the vanilla extract and eggs one at a time, whisking thoroughly after each addition.

Step 5

In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.

Step 6

Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients using a spatula or wooden spoon, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Step 7

Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips to evenly distribute them in the batter.

Step 8

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it into an even layer.

Step 9

Bake in the preheated oven for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (avoid overbaking).

Step 10

Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
