  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Whole milk
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 2.25 teaspoons Active dry yeast
  • 0.33 cup Warm water
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vegetable oil or melted butter (for greasing)

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, mix warm water and active dry yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until the mixture becomes frothy.

Step 2

In a small saucepan over low heat, warm the milk and butter until the butter is just melted. Do not let the mixture boil. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, sugar, and salt. Stir to combine.

Add the frothy yeast mixture, warm milk and butter mixture, and eggs into the flour mixture. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
