  • 500 grams Plain yogurt
  • 300 grams Chicken breast (boneless)
  • 1.5 liters Water
  • 100 grams Rice
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 Garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon Dried mint
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Butter

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the rice thoroughly under cold water and set it aside.

Step 2

Add the chicken breast and water to a medium-sized pot. Bring it to a boil over medium heat. Skim off any foam that forms on the surface.

Reduce the heat to low and simmer the chicken for about 20 minutes, or until fully cooked.

Remove the chicken from the pot and shred it into small pieces. Reserve the chicken broth for later use.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the yogurt and egg until smooth. Slowly add 2 cups of the reserved chicken broth, a small amount at a time, while continuing to whisk to temper the mixture. This will prevent curdling.
