Ingredients

  • 250 grams Ground beef
  • 100 grams Kimchi
  • 3 stalks Green onions
  • 2 pieces Garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 25 pieces Wonton wrappers
  • 500 milliliters Vegetable oil
  • 1 piece Egg
  • 2 tablespoons Water

Directions

Step 1

Finely chop the kimchi, green onions, and garlic cloves, and set them aside.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped kimchi, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Step 3

In a small bowl, whisk the egg with 2 tablespoons of water to create an egg wash.

Step 4

Lay a wonton wrapper flat on a work surface. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of the filling mixture into the center of the wrapper.

Step 5

Brush the edges of the wrapper with the egg wash, then fold the wrapper in half diagonally to form a triangle, pressing firmly to seal the edges. You can pleat or crimp the edges for added decoration.

Step 6

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan or fryer to 180°C (350°F).

Step 7

Carefully add the wontons in small batches to the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove using a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

Step 8

Repeat with the remaining wontons until all are fried.

Step 9

Serve the wontons warm with soy sauce or a dipping sauce of your choice.
