Ingredients

  • 16 oz kielbasa sausage, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 2 tbsp gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp ginger, finely grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 stalks green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp neutral cooking oil (e.g., vegetable oil)

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, whisk together the gochujang, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, rice vinegar, grated ginger, and minced garlic. Set the sauce aside.

Step 2

Heat a large skillet or wok over medium heat and add the neutral cooking oil.

Step 3

Once the oil is hot, add the sliced kielbasa sausage to the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sausage is browned on both sides.

Step 4

Reduce the heat to medium-low and pour the prepared sauce over the cooked sausage. Stir well to coat all of the sausage slices evenly in the sauce.

Step 5

Let the sausage simmer in the sauce for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and clings to the sausage.

Step 6

Remove from heat and transfer the sausage to a serving dish.

Step 7

Garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds.

Step 8

Serve immediately as a main dish over steamed rice, or as a flavorful appetizer.
