Ingredients

  • 1 lb Pork tenderloin
  • 0.25 cup Soy sauce
  • 1.5 tablespoons Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
  • 3 cloves Minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Grated fresh ginger
  • 2 medium stalks Green onions (thinly sliced)
  • 1 tablespoon Toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 teaspoons Vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1

In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, gochujang, honey, brown sugar, sesame oil, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade.

Step 2

Trim any excess fat or silver skin from the pork tenderloin, then place it in a large resealable plastic bag.

Step 3

Pour the marinade over the pork tenderloin, seal the bag, and massage the marinade into the meat to ensure even coating. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to overnight for maximum flavor.

Step 4

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 5

Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and add the vegetable oil.

Step 6

Remove the pork tenderloin from the marinade, letting any excess drip off, and sear the pork on all sides until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side.

Step 7

Transfer the skillet with the pork tenderloin to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

Step 8

While the pork cooks, pour the leftover marinade into a small saucepan and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.

Step 9

Once the pork is done, remove it from the oven, cover it loosely with foil, and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Step 10

Slice the pork tenderloin into medallions, drizzle with the reduced marinade, and garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds.

Step 11

Serve with steamed rice and a side of sautéed vegetables or kimchi for a complete meal.
