Ingredients

  • 200 grams cooked salmon
  • 250 grams cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon capers (optional, drained)
  • 1 tablespoon extra fresh dill (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Place the cooked salmon into a food processor and pulse a few times until finely flaked. If you do not have a food processor, use a fork to mash the salmon in a large bowl.

Step 2

Add the cream cheese, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, fresh dill, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder to the food processor (or bowl with the salmon). Blend or mix until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

Step 3

If using capers, gently fold them into the mixture to incorporate, ensuring they remain whole (optional).

Step 4

Taste the pâté and adjust seasoning with additional salt, pepper, or lemon juice if desired.

Step 5

Transfer the pâté to a serving dish or ramekin and smooth the top with the back of a spoon.

Step 6

For garnish, sprinkle the top with extra fresh dill for a burst of color and flavor.

Step 7

Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. The pâté can be made a day ahead and stored in an airtight container.

Step 8

Serve cold with crackers, sliced baguette, or raw vegetable sticks. Enjoy as a delightful appetizer or snack!
