Ingredients

  • 2 sheets frozen puff pastry sheets, thawed
  • 300 grams fresh spinach, washed and chopped
  • 150 grams feta cheese, crumbled
  • 100 grams cream cheese, softened
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, cooking until softened and fragrant (about 3-4 minutes).

Step 3

Add the chopped spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted, stirring occasionally (about 3-5 minutes). Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Step 4

In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked spinach mixture, crumbled feta cheese, softened cream cheese, dried dill, salt, and pepper. Mix well to form a uniform filling.

Step 5

Unfold the thawed puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Cut each sheet into 8 equal squares.

Step 6

Place about 1 tablespoon of the spinach and feta mixture in the center of each square.

Step 7

Fold each square diagonally to form a triangle. Press the edges firmly with a fork to seal and prevent filling from leaking out.

Step 8

Place the triangles on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with beaten egg to give them a golden, glossy finish.

Step 9

Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden and crisp.

Step 10

Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
