Ingredients

  • 4 medium Yellow potatoes
  • 1 small head Green cabbage
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 3 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Paprika
  • 2 tablespoons Parsley

Directions

Step 1

Peel and dice the potatoes into bite-sized cubes. Rinse in cold water and pat dry with a towel to remove excess moisture.

Step 2

Chop the cabbage into bite-sized pieces and discard the tough core. Dice the onion and mince the garlic.

Step 3

Heat 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 4

Add the potatoes to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove the potatoes from the skillet and set aside.

Step 5

In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter. Sauté the onion for 2–3 minutes until softened, then add the minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute.

Step 6

Add the cabbage to the skillet. Sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender and lightly caramelized.

Step 7

Return the fried potatoes to the skillet. Toss everything together and cook for 2–3 minutes to combine the flavors.

Step 8

Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving. Adjust seasoning as needed and serve hot.
