Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 24 ounces Marinara sauce
  • 15 ounces Ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cups Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large Egg
  • 9 Lasagna noodles (oven-ready)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Italian seasoning

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

Step 3

Stir in the marinara sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes and set aside.

Step 4

In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, and egg. Mix until well blended.

Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce (about 1/2 cup) on the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Place three lasagna noodles over the meat sauce.

Spread 1/3 of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, then top with 1/3 of the remaining meat sauce. Sprinkle with 1/3 of the remaining shredded mozzarella.

Repeat the layers two more times (noodles, ricotta mixture, meat sauce, mozzarella). End with a final layer of mozzarella on top.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil (spray the underside with non-stick spray to prevent sticking).

Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and let the lasagna rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
