Ingredients

  • 16 slices Thick-cut bacon
  • 8 ounces Cream cheese
  • 1 cup Sour cream
  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices Cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 3 stalks Green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 1 bag Tortilla chips or crackers

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Step 2

To make the bacon bowl, turn a medium-sized oven-safe bowl upside down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 3

Drape the 16 slices of bacon over the bowl, overlapping them slightly to ensure full coverage. Press them gently around the bowl to shape.

Step 4

Bake the bacon-covered bowl in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and set.

Step 5

Carefully remove the bacon bowl from the oven and allow it to cool for 5-10 minutes. Once cool, gently lift it off the bowl mold and set it aside.

Step 6

While the bacon bowl cools, prepare the dip. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Step 7

Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Step 8

Transfer the dip mixture into a small oven-safe baking dish, spreading it evenly. Top it with the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.

Step 9

Bake the dip in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until the cheese on top is melted and bubbly.

Step 10

Carefully transfer the hot dip into the cooled bacon bowl, or serve the bacon bowl and dip separately for easier handling.

Step 11

Serve immediately with tortilla chips or crackers for dipping, and enjoy!
