  • 0.5 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the basmati rice and water. Crush the vegetable stock cube and stir it into the water until dissolved.

Step 2

Cover the bowl loosely with a microwave-safe lid or plastic wrap, leaving a small gap for steam to escape.

Step 3

Microwave the rice on high for 10 minutes. Remove carefully (the bowl will be hot), stir, and check the water level. If the rice isn't fully cooked, add a splash of water, cover again, and microwave in 2-minute intervals until tender.
