Ingredients

  • 2 cups Leftover roast (beef, pork, or chicken)
  • 4 pieces Sub rolls
  • 8 slices Provolone cheese
  • 4 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons Prepared horseradish (optional)
  • 4 pieces Romaine lettuce leaves
  • 2 pieces Tomato
  • 0.5 pieces Red onion
  • 2 teaspoons Olive oil
  • 0.25 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Thinly slice the leftover roast into bite-sized pieces. If your roast is cold, warm it in a skillet with 2 teaspoons of olive oil over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until heated through.

Slice the sub rolls lengthwise, but don’t cut all the way through to keep the sandwich intact.

In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and prepared horseradish (if using) to create a zesty spread.
