Slice the kielbasa into 1/4-inch thick rounds. Set aside.
Remove the outer leaves of the cabbage and cut it into quarters. Remove the core and slice it into thin strips. Wash and drain thoroughly.
Peel and thinly slice the onion.
Peel and slice the carrots into thin rounds.
Mince the garlic cloves.
In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.
Add the sliced kielbasa to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it is browned on both sides. Remove the kielbasa and set aside.
Add 1 tablespoon of butter to the skillet. Once melted, add the onion and carrots. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the onion softens.

Return the browned kielbasa to the skillet and mix it into the cabbage mixture. Cook for another 3-4 minutes to heat the sausage through.
Sprinkle the dish with fresh parsley before serving.
