Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Directions

Step 1

In a small mixing bowl, crack two large eggs and add 1 tablespoon of heavy cream. Add the salt and black pepper. Whisk thoroughly until the mixture is light and frothy.

Step 2

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter. Allow the butter to melt completely and coat the skillet.

Step 3

Pour the egg mixture into the skillet, tilting the pan gently to spread the eggs evenly. Let the omelette cook undisturbed for about 1 to 2 minutes, or until the edges begin to set.

Step 4

Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over one side of the omelette.

Step 5

Using a spatula, gently fold the opposite side of the omelette over the cheese to create a half-moon shape. Continue to cook for another 1 to 2 minutes, or until the cheese melts and the omelette is cooked to your desired doneness.

Step 6

Transfer the omelette to a plate and garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
