Ingredients

  • 6 pieces tofu (firm variety)
  • 200 grams ground chicken
  • 100 grams cabbage, finely shredded
  • 50 grams carrot, finely grated
  • 2 stalks green onions, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons coconut aminos
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons coconut flour
  • 2 large egg, beaten
  • 4 tablespoons coconut oil, for frying

Directions

Step 1

Cut a slit in the side of each tofu piece to create a pocket, being careful not to cut all the way through. Scoop out a small amount of the tofu from the center to make room for the filling.

Step 2

In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, shredded cabbage, grated carrot, green onions, minced garlic, coconut aminos, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.

Step 3

Stuff each tofu pocket with the filling, pressing the mixture firmly into the tofu to ensure it's packed tightly.

Step 4

Set up a breading station with coconut flour in one bowl and beaten eggs in another.

Step 5

Coat each stuffed tofu piece lightly in coconut flour, then dip it into the beaten egg, ensuring it is fully covered.

Step 6

Heat coconut oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the stuffed tofu pieces in batches until golden brown on all sides and cooked through, approximately 4-5 minutes per side.

Step 7

Remove from the skillet and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Step 8

Serve warm with a side of sugar-free chili sauce or keto-friendly dipping sauce of your choice.
