Directions

Step 1

Rinse the Brussels sprouts thoroughly under cold water, then trim off the tough stem ends and remove any discolored outer leaves. Cut the larger sprouts in half for even cooking.

Set up a steamer basket in a pot filled with about 2 inches of water, ensuring the water does not touch the bottom of the basket. Bring the water to a boil over medium heat.
