Ingredients

  • 500 grams Beef (boneless, cubes or strips)
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut oil
  • 1 large Onion (sliced thinly)
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger (grated)
  • 2 small Green chili (sliced)
  • 0.5 teaspoons Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika or Kashmiri red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Black pepper (freshly ground)
  • 2 tablespoons Cilantro (fresh, chopped)
  • 1 piece Lime (for garnish, optional)

Directions

Step 1

Clean and pat dry the beef. Cut into bite-sized cubes or strips if not already prepared.

Step 2

Heat 1 tablespoon of coconut oil in a large skillet or frying pan over medium heat.

Step 3

Add the sliced onion and sauté until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.

Step 4

Push the onions to the side of the pan, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, and toss in the minced garlic, grated ginger, and green chili slices. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Step 5

Add the beef to the pan and sear on all sides, cooking for 4-5 minutes until browned.

Step 6

Lower the heat to medium-low, and sprinkle the turmeric powder, ground coriander, ground cumin, paprika, garam masala, salt, and black pepper over the beef. Mix well so the spices coat the beef evenly.

Step 7

Cover the pan and let the beef cook in its juices for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. If needed, add a tablespoon of water to prevent sticking, but avoid adding too much liquid to keep it keto-friendly.

Step 8

Once the beef is tender and the spices are well absorbed, remove from heat.

Step 9

Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro and a squeeze of lime juice before serving, if desired.
