  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped

Directions

Step 1

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 2

Add the sausage to the skillet, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the diced onion to the skillet and sauté until it becomes translucent, approximately 4-5 minutes.
