Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups Almond flour
  • 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 0.5 cup Tomato sauce (sugar-free)
  • 4 ounces Fresh mozzarella
  • 8 leaves Fresh basil leaves
  • 0.5 teaspoon Oregano
  • 0.25 teaspoon Crushed red pepper flakes
  • 0.25 teaspoon Garlic powder

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a pizza stone or a baking sheet by placing a parchment paper over it.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine almond flour, grated Parmesan cheese, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.

Step 3

Add the egg and olive oil to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more almond flour, one tablespoon at a time.

Step 4

Place the dough between two sheets of parchment paper. Roll it out into a circle, about 10 inches in diameter and 1/4 inch thick.

Step 5

Transfer the dough (still on the bottom parchment paper) onto the prepared pizza stone or baking sheet.

Step 6

Bake the crust for 10 minutes, or until it starts to turn golden brown.

Step 7

While the crust is baking, prepare the toppings. Slice the fresh mozzarella and gather the basil leaves.

Step 8

Remove the crust from the oven. Spread the sugar-free tomato sauce over the crust, leaving a small border around the edges.

Step 9

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.

Step 10

Arrange the slices of fresh mozzarella on top, followed by the basil leaves.

Step 11

Sprinkle oregano, crushed red pepper flakes, and garlic powder over the pizza for added flavor.

Step 12

Return the pizza to the oven and bake for another 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 13

Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing.

Step 14

Serve warm, garnished with any additional fresh basil leaves if desired.
