Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups Unsweetened almond milk
  • 0.25 cups Hot water
  • 1 teaspoons Matcha green tea powder
  • 1 teaspoons Erythritol sweetener or monk fruit sweetener
  • 1 tablespoons Coconut oil or MCT oil
  • 0.5 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 1 pinches Salt

Directions

Step 1

In a small saucepan, heat the unsweetened almond milk over medium heat until it is warm but not boiling.

Step 2

While the almond milk is heating, bring a quarter cup of water to a near boil and let it cool slightly; it should be hot but not boiling to preserve the nutrients in the matcha.

Step 3

In a small bowl, add matcha green tea powder and the hot (but not boiling) water. Whisk it vigorously using a bamboo matcha whisk or a small regular whisk until it is smooth and there are no lumps.

Step 4

Once the almond milk is heated, remove the saucepan from the heat and add erythritol (or monk fruit sweetener), coconut oil (or MCT oil), vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.

Pour the whisked matcha mixture into the saucepan with the almond milk and stir well to combine all ingredients.

Step 6

For a frothy latte, use an immersion blender in the saucepan or carefully transfer the mixture to a regular blender and blend on high for about 20-30 seconds until frothy.
