Ingredients

  • 1 cup Almond flour
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut flour
  • 2 tablespoons Psyllium husk powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 large Egg whites
  • 0.75 cup Hot water
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, coconut flour, psyllium husk powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix well until the ingredients are fully combined.

Step 3

Add the egg whites and olive oil to the dry mixture. Stir to combine.

Step 4

Gradually add the hot water to the mixture, stirring continuously until a dough forms. The dough should be moist and slightly sticky.

Step 5

Divide the dough into four equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball.

Step 6

Place a dough ball between two sheets of parchment paper. Using a rolling pin, flatten the dough into a circle about 1/4 inch thick. Repeat with the remaining dough.

Step 7

Transfer the rolled dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Pierce the surface of each pita with a fork to prevent it from puffing up too much during baking.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the pitas are firm and slightly golden on the edges.

Step 9

Remove from the oven and allow them to cool slightly on a wire rack before serving. Enjoy your keto low carb pita with your favorite low-carb fillings or dips.
