  • 2 pounds Pork belly
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 3 pieces Bay leaves
  • 4 cups Water
  • 1 cup Coconut oil

Directions

Step 1

Start by cleaning the pork belly. Rinse it under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

Place the pork belly in a large pot and cover it with water. Add the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and bay leaves.

Bring the pot to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce the heat to a simmer. Allow the pork belly to cook for about 45 minutes until it's tender but not falling apart.

Once cooked, remove the pork belly from the water and pat it dry with paper towels. Let it cool slightly so it's easier to handle.
