Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 Egg
  • 0.25 cup Almond flour
  • 0.5 medium Onion
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper
  • 0.25 tsp Garlic powder
  • 0.5 cup Heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 1 cup Mushrooms
  • 0.5 cup Beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Parsley

Directions

Step 1

Finely dice half an onion and slice the mushrooms. Set aside.

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, almond flour, diced onion, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix the ingredients until well incorporated.

Step 3

Divide the mixture into four equal parts and shape them into oval patties.

Step 4

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. When hot, place the patties in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Remove the patties from the skillet and set aside.

Step 5

In the same skillet, add 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5 minutes until they are browned and softened.

Step 6

Add beef broth and soy sauce to the skillet with the mushrooms, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom of the pan.

Step 7

Allow the mixture to simmer for 3 minutes, then add the heavy cream and stir until the sauce thickens slightly.

Step 8

Return the hamburg steaks to the skillet and spoon the mushroom sauce over them. Let them cook together for another 3-4 minutes so the flavors meld.

Step 9

Serve the keto hamburg steak hot, garnished with a sprinkle of chopped parsley.
