Ingredients

  • 1 cup Almond flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon Xanthan gum
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Water
  • 1 large Egg
  • 0.25 cup Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, xanthan gum, and salt.

Step 2

In a separate small bowl, whisk together the water and egg until well combined.

Step 3

Create a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the egg mixture. Stir until a dough forms.

Step 4

Place the dough between two sheets of parchment paper. Roll out the dough to about 1/8-inch thickness using a rolling pin.

Step 5

Cut the dough into 1/2-inch wide and 3-inch long strips using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.

Step 6

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 7

Once the oil is hot, carefully add a few strips at a time, frying them until golden brown and crispy, about 1 to 2 minutes per side.

Step 8

Use a slotted spoon to remove the wonton strips and transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Step 9

Repeat with the remaining strips, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.

Step 10

Allow the wonton strips to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them as a crunchy snack or garnish!
