Ingredients

  • 1 cup Almond Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Psyllium Husk Powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Xanthan Gum
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Water
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 pound Ground Pork
  • 2 tablespoons Green Onions
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 cup Cooking Oil (for frying)

Directions

Step 1

Prepare the dough by combining almond flour, psyllium husk powder, xanthan gum, and salt in a mixing bowl.

Step 2

Add one beaten egg and water to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. If too sticky, add a bit more almond flour.

Step 3

Knead the dough for a minute until smooth, then wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 20 minutes.

Step 4

In a separate bowl, prepare the filling by combining ground pork, the second egg, green onions, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and sesame oil. Mix until well combined.

Step 5

Once rested, divide the dough into 12 equal portions. Roll each piece into a thin circle between two sheets of parchment paper.

Step 6

Place a tablespoon of filling in the center of each wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, fold over into a triangle and press to seal, removing any air.

Step 7

Heat the cooking oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.

Step 8

Carefully fry the wontons in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Step 9

Drain the cooked wontons on a paper towel-lined plate.

Step 10

Serve hot, optionally garnished with additional green onions or sesame seeds and with soy sauce for dipping.
