Ingredients

  • 450 g ground pork sausage
  • 150 g almond flour
  • 200 g mozzarella cheese
  • 60 g cream cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary or thyme
  • 1 for egg wash egg

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork sausage with the rosemary or thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until thoroughly combined.

Step 3

In a separate microwave-safe bowl, add the mozzarella cheese and cream cheese. Microwave on high for about 1 minute, or until melted and well blended.

Step 4

Add the almond flour and baking powder to the cheese mixture and stir until a dough starts to form.

Step 5

Add the large egg to the dough mixture and knead with your hands or a spatula until the dough becomes smooth.

Roll the dough between two sheets of parchment paper into a rectangle about 1/4-inch thick.

Divide the dough into two even sections. Spoon the sausage mixture evenly down the center of each section.
