  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1.5 cups Heavy cream
  • 4 large Eggs
  • 0.25 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 6 slices Bacon
  • 1.5 cups Gruyere cheese
  • 0.25 cup Chopped green onions

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Step 2

In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, melted butter, 1 large egg, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.

Step 3

Press the dough into a 9-inch pie pan evenly across the bottom and up the sides.

Step 4

Prick the bottom of the crust with a fork and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove from oven and let it cool.

Step 5

In a large frying pan, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Step 6

In a large bowl, whisk together heavy cream, the remaining 4 eggs, nutmeg, and black pepper.

Step 7

Crumble the cooled bacon and place it evenly over the cooled crust.

Sprinkle the cheese and chopped green onions over the bacon.

Pour the egg and cream mixture over the bacon, cheese, and onions, ensuring it is evenly distributed.
