Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 medium Green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 medium Red bell pepper, chopped
  • 14.5 ounces Diced tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato paste
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon Cayenne pepper

Directions

Step 1

In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion becomes translucent, about 5 minutes.

Step 3

Add the ground beef to the pot, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Cook until browned and no longer pink, about 7-8 minutes.

Drain excess fat and return the pot to the heat.

Add the chopped green and red bell peppers to the pot. Sauté for another 5 minutes until they begin to soften.
