Ingredients

  • 500 grams Ground beef
  • 250 grams Ground pork
  • 60 grams Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 80 grams Almond flour
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 3 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 small Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 500 milliliters Marinara sauce (sugar-free)
  • 10 fresh Basil leaves, for garnish

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, grated Parmesan cheese, and almond flour.

Step 2

Add the eggs, fresh parsley, minced garlic, finely chopped onion, salt, black pepper, and dried oregano to the meat mixture.

Step 3

Use clean hands to mix the ingredients until well combined and evenly distributed.

Step 4

Shape the mixture into meatballs, about the size of golf balls, by rolling the mixture between your palms. You should get roughly 18-20 meatballs.

Step 5

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 6

Add the meatballs to the skillet in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan, and cook until browned on all sides, approximately 5-7 minutes per batch.

Step 7

Once the meatballs are browned, remove them from the skillet and set aside on a plate.

Step 8

In the same skillet, pour in the marinara sauce and bring it to a simmer.

Step 9

Return the meatballs to the skillet, cover, and let them simmer in the sauce for about 15 minutes, ensuring they are cooked through and the internal temperature reaches at least 165°F (74°C).

Step 10

Garnish the meatballs with fresh basil leaves before serving.
