Ingredients

  • 1 cup Almond flour
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut flour
  • 1 tablespoon Psyllium husk powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Ghee, melted
  • 0.25 cup Warm water
  • 1 cup Oil (for frying)

Directions

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, coconut flour, psyllium husk powder, and salt. Mix well to ensure even distribution.

Step 2

Add the melted ghee to the dry ingredients and mix until crumbly.

Step 3

Gradually add warm water to the mixture while stirring continuously to form a dough. The psyllium husk will help in binding.

Step 4

Knead the dough gently for about 2-3 minutes until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes.

Step 5

After resting, divide the dough into 8 equal parts. Roll each part into a ball in your palms.

Step 6

Take one dough ball and place it between two sheets of parchment paper. Gently roll it out into a circle of about 4 inches in diameter, ensuring the thickness is even.

Step 7

In a deep frying pan, heat the oil on medium-high heat. Ensure the oil is hot enough by dropping a small piece of dough into it; if it sizzles, it's ready.

Step 8

Carefully slide one rolled poori dough into the hot oil. It should puff up in a few seconds. Use a slotted spoon to gently press it to help it puff fully.

Step 9

Fry the poori for about 1 minute on each side until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Step 10

Repeat the rolling and frying process for the remaining dough balls.

Step 11

Serve the keto poori hot with your choice of low-carb curry or side dish.
