Ingredients

  • 100 grams Almond flour
  • 60 grams Erythritol (or any keto-friendly sugar substitute)
  • 80 grams Butter
  • 4 large Egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 30 grams Almonds (sliced, for topping)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a financier or muffin pan with butter or a non-stick spray.

Step 2

In a small saucepan over medium heat, gently melt the butter until it turns golden brown and gives off a nutty aroma. This is known as brown butter or 'beurre noisette'. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.

In a bowl, combine almond flour, erythritol, and baking powder. Mix until ingredients are well combined.
