Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups almond flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 ounces cream cheese
  • 1.5 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the almond flour, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and sea salt. Set aside.

Step 3

In a microwave-safe bowl, add cream cheese and mozzarella cheese. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the cheese is completely melted and mixture is smooth.

Step 4

To the melted cheese mixture, add in the egg, apple cider vinegar, and water, stirring quickly until fully combined. It helps to initially use a fork, then your hands (wet your hands lightly to prevent sticking) to knead the dough.

Step 5

Mix the flour mixture with the cheese mixture until a dough forms. The dough will be somewhat sticky but manageable.

Step 6

Divide the dough into 6 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball, then make a hole in the center to form a bagel shape. Place the formed bagels onto the prepared baking sheet.

Sprinkle the tops of the bagels generously with sesame seeds, pressing them gently into the dough to adhere.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the bagels are golden brown on top.
