Ingredients

  • 8 pieces Hot dogs
  • 1 cup Almond flour
  • 0.25 cup Coconut flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 0.5 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Avocado oil
  • 0.5 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups Avocado or coconut oil for frying
  • 8 pieces Wooden skewers

Directions

Step 1

Insert a wooden skewer into each hot dog, leaving enough of the skewer exposed to use as a handle.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, and salt.

Step 3

In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add the heavy cream and avocado oil. Mix well.

Step 4

Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until a thick batter forms. Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese.

Step 5

Heat the avocado or coconut oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat until it reaches about 350°F (175°C).

Step 6

Dip each skewered hot dog into the batter, ensuring it's fully coated. You may need to use a spoon to help the batter adhere.

Step 7

Carefully place the battered hot dogs into the hot oil. Fry them in batches if necessary, until they are golden brown on all sides, about 3-4 minutes.

Step 8

Remove the corn dogs from the oil and drain them on a paper towel-lined plate.

Step 9

Serve hot with your favorite keto-friendly condiments.
