Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 slices slices of cheddar cheese
  • 6 leaves large lettuce leaves
  • 6 slices sliced pickles
  • 6 slices slices of tomato
  • 6 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well using your hands until the seasonings are evenly distributed.

Step 2

Divide the seasoned ground beef into 6 equal portions and shape each into a small patty about 2.5 inches in diameter. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent them from puffing up during cooking.

Step 3

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the unsalted butter.

Step 4

Once the butter is melted and begins to bubble, add the patties to the skillet.

Step 5

Cook the sliders for about 3-4 minutes on one side, then flip them.

Step 6

Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty immediately after flipping and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired level of doneness.

Step 7

Remove the patties from the skillet and set them aside to rest for a minute or two.

To assemble the sliders, take one lettuce leaf and place one patty on it. Top with a slice of tomato and pickle.

Spread a tablespoon of mayonnaise on the inside of another lettuce leaf and place it over the stack to form a sandwich.

Step 10

Repeat the assembly for each slider.
