Ingredients

  • 4 pieces White fish fillets (such as cod or haddock)
  • 120 grams Almond flour
  • 50 grams Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 60 milliliters Olive oil
  • 600 grams Turnips
  • 0.5 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 220°C (430°F).

Step 2

Peel and cut the turnips into thin fries. Place them into a large bowl and toss with half of the olive oil, paprika, and a pinch of salt. Spread them out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 3

Bake the turnip fries in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.

Step 4

While the fries are baking, prepare the fish. In a shallow bowl, mix the almond flour, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.

Step 5

In another bowl, beat the eggs until well mixed.

Step 6

Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels. Dip each fillet first into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off, then coat with the almond flour mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

Step 7

Heat the remaining olive oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat.

Step 8

Add the coated fish fillets to the pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. You may need to cook in batches, depending on the size of your pan.

Step 9

Once cooked, transfer the fish fillets to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.

Step 10

Serve the crispy fish immediately alongside the baked turnip fries for a delicious and satisfying keto meal.
