Ingredients

  • 500 grams Chicken breast, boneless and skinless, cut into cubes
  • 3 tablespoons Ghee
  • 1 large Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 medium Tomato, pureed
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 Green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt, unsweetened
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves), crushed
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon, juice

Directions

Step 1

Heat ghee in a handi or deep pan over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.

Step 3

Stir in ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, cooking for 1-2 minutes until aromatic.

Step 4

Add the chicken cubes and cook until they begin to turn white.

Step 5

Mix in the tomato puree and cook for about 5 minutes until oil separates from the mixture.

Whisk the Greek yogurt with salt, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, turmeric, and red chili powder.

Reduce the heat to low, then gradually stir the yogurt mixture into the pan to prevent curdling.
