  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon urad dal
  • 10 pieces curry leaves
  • 1 medium green chili
  • 0.5 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 0.75 teaspoon salt
  • 50 grams fresh coconut, grated
  • 2 tablespoons fresh coriander leaves

Directions

Step 1

Begin by washing and shredding the green cabbage into thin slices. Set aside.

Slice the green chili lengthwise. Chop the fresh coriander leaves and set aside.

In a large pan or kadai, heat the coconut oil over medium heat.

Once the oil is hot, add mustard seeds and let them splutter.

Add cumin seeds and urad dal to the pan, stirring until the urad dal turns golden brown.
