Ingredients

  • 500 grams broccoli florets
  • 50 grams sliced almonds
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 800 milliliters chicken or vegetable broth
  • 120 milliliters heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Directions

Step 1

Begin by preparing the broccoli. Rinse the broccoli florets under cold water and set aside.

In a large pot, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat.

Add the sliced almonds and cook for 2-3 minutes until they are golden brown. Stir regularly to prevent burning. Remove half of the almonds and set them aside for garnishing.
