  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • 8 slices Monterey Jack cheese slices
  • 2 medium Avocado
  • 0.25 cup Chopped fresh cilantro
  • 0.5 cup Sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons Lime juice

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

Step 2

In a small bowl, combine the salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Step 3

Rub the spice mixture all over the brisket.

Step 4

In a large oven-safe pot, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.

Step 5

Sear the brisket on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.

Step 6

Pour the beef broth into the pot; cover with a lid.

Step 7

Transfer the pot to the preheated oven and cook for approximately 4 hours or until the brisket is very tender.

Step 8

Once cooked, remove the brisket from the oven, and let it rest for 10 minutes before shredding with two forks.

While the brisket is resting, cut the avocados into thin slices.

Step 10

In a small bowl, mix the sour cream with lime juice and half of the chopped cilantro.

Step 11

Heat the Monterey Jack cheese slices in a microwave for 15-20 seconds or until soft and pliable to shape them into wraps.

Step 12

Place a generous portion of shredded brisket onto each cheese wrap.

Step 13

Top with avocado slices and a spoonful of cilantro-lime sour cream.

Step 14

Garnish with the remaining cilantro.

Step 15

Roll the cheese wrap tightly around the fillings and serve immediately.
