Ingredients

  • 500 grams beef sirloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 large green bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 large onion, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, freshly grated
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 100 ml coconut cream
  • 2 tablespoons curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine beef cubes with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, curry powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to coat the beef evenly and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Step 2

Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add marinated beef cubes and sear on all sides until browned. Remove beef and set aside.

In the same pan, add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Add the onion pieces and cook until they become translucent.
