Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large, finely chopped onion
  • 4 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon, grated ginger
  • 1 finely chopped green chili
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 2 teaspoons coriander powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon or to taste salt
  • 1 large, chopped tomato
  • 1 medium, chopped bell pepper
  • 0.25 cup, chopped cilantro
  • 0.5 juiced lemon

Directions

Step 1

Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.

Step 2

Add cumin seeds to the oil and let them sizzle for about 30 seconds until they become aromatic.

Step 3

Add the chopped onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent.

Step 4

Stir in the minced garlic, grated ginger, and green chili, and cook for another minute.

Step 5

Add the ground beef to the pan, breaking it apart with a spoon, and cook until it's browned and crumbled evenly.
