Ingredients

  • 14 oz Extra Firm Tofu
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black Pepper
  • 0.5 cup Low-carb BBQ Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Parsley (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Start by draining the extra firm tofu. Wrap it in a clean kitchen towel and place a heavy object on top, like a cast iron skillet, to press out excess moisture. Leave it to press for about 15 minutes.

Step 2

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 3

Once the tofu is pressed, slice it into cubes, approximately 1 inch in size.

Step 4

In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the tofu cubes to the bowl and gently toss them until they are evenly coated with the spice mixture.

Step 5

Spread the seasoned tofu cubes out on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.

Step 6

Bake the tofu in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Flip the tofu cubes halfway through the cooking time to ensure even browning.

Step 7

After 20 minutes, remove the tofu from the oven. Brush a generous amount of low-carb BBQ sauce over each tofu cube.

Step 8

Return the tofu to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the BBQ sauce to caramelize slightly.

Step 9

Remove the tofu from the oven once more and let it cool for a couple of minutes.

Step 10

Transfer the Keto BBQ Tofu to a serving platter and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Step 11

Serve warm and enjoy your keto-friendly BBQ delight!
