Ingredients

  • 250 grams White fish fillets
  • 100 grams Shrimp (optional)
  • 50 grams Almond flour
  • 200 grams Shirataki noodles
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 2 stalks Spring onion
  • 0.5 teaspoon Sea salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon White pepper
  • 50 milliliters Tap water
  • 500 milliliters Coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce (for serving)
  • 100 grams Peanut sauce (optional, for serving)

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the shirataki noodles under cold water and boil them for 2-3 minutes to remove any residual smell. Drain well and set aside.

Step 2

In a food processor, combine the white fish fillets, shrimp (if using), almond flour, egg, garlic, spring onion, salt, and white pepper. Blend until smooth.

Step 3

Add the drained shirataki noodles to the food processor. Pulse a few times to integrate the noodles into the mixture.

Step 4

Using damp hands, take about 2 tablespoons of the mixture and shape it into a ball or a patty. Repeat until all the mixture is used.

Step 5

Heat coconut oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. Ensure the oil reaches about 350°F (175°C) for deep frying.

Step 6

Carefully slide the fish dumplings into the hot oil, frying a few at a time to not overcrowd the pan.

Step 7

Fry each dumpling for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.

Step 8

Once fried, remove the dumplings from the oil and let them drain on paper towels to absorb any excess oil.

Step 9

Serve the keto Batagor dumplings warm with soy sauce and peanut sauce on the side for dipping.
