Ingredients

  • 200 grams Shirataki noodles
  • 4 cups Chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut aminos
  • 300 grams Chicken breast
  • 200 grams Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon Coconut oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 units Shallots, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon Chili paste
  • 3 stalks Green onions, chopped
  • 1 bunch Cilantro, chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the shirataki noodles thoroughly under cold water and set aside.

Step 2

In a large pot, heat the coconut oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sliced shallots, sautéing until fragrant, about 2 minutes.

Step 3

Add the chicken breast to the pot and cook until browned on all sides, approximately 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken and set aside.

Step 4

Pour the chicken broth into the pot and bring to a boil. Once boiling, add the coconut aminos, fish sauce, and chili paste. Stir to combine.

Step 5

Slice the cooked chicken breast into thin strips and return it to the pot along with the shrimp. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, until the shrimp are opaque and cooked through.

Step 6

Add the rinsed shirataki noodles to the simmering broth, and cook for an additional 5 minutes to allow the noodles to absorb the flavors.

Step 7

Add lime juice, salt, and black pepper to taste. Adjust seasoning as desired.

Step 8

Ladle the soup into bowls and garnish with chopped green onions and cilantro before serving.
